Registration meeting for intending artists, event producers and creative types
The Fringe Festival is holding a public meeting on 24 September at the Fortune Theatre to outline the registration and funding process and new developments for the 2013 Dunedin Fringe Festival which runs from 14-24 March.
Festival Director, Paul Smith, said the meeting is a chance for artists & producers to find out how they can get the most out of the Festival. "We have over $20,000 of funding for artists to produce an event in the Festival. Find out how you can access the funding for your dream event!" The Festival Club and Comedy Club are now open for applications – artists don't need to register an event to be in these. "Even if you've done the Fringe before, come along and find out what's new for the 2013 Festival."

STUDIO 4 x 4 CALL FOR PLAYWRIGHTS
Four new playwrights, four new plays, Fortune Theatre Studio
Fortune Theatre’s Studio 4 x 4 Young Playwrights Initiative is looking for local passionate young writers with a long-term interest in writing for live theatre.
There are four places for writers, aged between 18 and 35, to join this project for ten weeks beginning Saturday 13 October, 2012.
The selected playwrights will meet for one three-hour weekly session for ten weeks with a script advisor, two trainee directors and the artistic director of the theatre. In addition to the ten weekly sessions, writers will also receive one-on-one coaching sessions as they develop short scripts for a public rehearsed-reading presentation in the Fortune Theatre Studio the week beginning 10 December.
This is an exciting opportunity for four writers to observe first-hand all the processes that go into developing a new work, creating live professional theatre, and working first hand with industry professionals.
