A WORD FROM BACKSTAGE
Greetings all,
Love, Loss and What I Wore couldn’t be further away in subject matter than Michael James Manaia. But just as Michael James Manaia was a dramatic one-man show, this is a comedic five-woman show – and a different five women each week. The nature of this production allows us the luxury of a rotating cast.
2 March – 10 March: Alison Quigan, Rima Te Wiata, Lara Macgregor (sound familiar?), Claire Dougan and Nadya Shaw Bennett.
12 March – 17 March (I.D Fashion week): Ginette McDonald, Rima Te Wiata, Jennifer Ludlam, Sara Wiseman and Claire Dougan.
19 March – 23 March: Dame Kate Harcourt, Rima Te Wiata, Jennifer Ward-Lealand, Barbara Power and Claire Dougan.
Pretty much someone for everyone and you might even want to come twice to catch the actress of your choice.
Love, Loss and What I Wore is a glorious celebration of womanhood, with vignettes carefully spliced together by Nora Ephron and her sister Delia. At first glance you’d think this play female-centric, but anyone who has a mother, sister, friend, or daughter will find something to relate to, and men, if you’re not convinced, why not spoil the women in your life and send them along to the show.
See you there…
